RPS Performance Products is proud to announce the arrival of its newest clutch and flywheel for the LS1 and LS2 powered cars.
This state of the art kit leaves the competition behind. Specifically designed for the C5, C6 and the F-Body cars, the kit contains a matched balanced pressure plate, segmented lightweight aluminum flywheel and a twin friction disk.
This Lo-Inertia kit weighs in at a mere 36 lbs complete (stock is 57 lbs), and is SFI approved. The clutch, pressure plate and disk are specifically engineered for smooth engagements and easy RPM shifts. We recommend this kit for cars with up to 500 rwhp that are daily driven as well as weekend racers.

Exedy Hyper Single Disk
Hyper Single Clutch:
The Corvette Hyper Single Clutch is engineered to optimize performance for cars that are modified, but do not require the clutch capacity of a multi-plate clutch. You will find the Hyper Single very comfortable in street or race environments. Similar to Exedy multi-plate clutches, it has a forged aluminum cover that is anodized purple. The aluminum cover is stiffer than a stamped cover and therefore allows a higher lever ratio to maintain the pedal efforts at a reasonable level.
All Corvette Hyper Clutches come with a steel flywheel and a 6-puck cerametallic facing, spring center damper disc assembly (38lbs). The disc is generally smaller and thinner than the OEM disc making for lower inertia and therefore quicker, easier shifting and less wear and tear on the transmission synchros. The higher clamp load and cerametallic friction facings allow this clutch to handle approximately twice the torque of the OEM clutch and generally higher than other single plate clutches.
An additional feature of the pressure plate is a series of turbine-like, air flow enhancing vanes that keep the clutch cooler under extreme operating conditions to improve wear life.

Twin Disk Clutch:
For higher-powered Corvette applications, EXEDY offers a twin plate clutch which is designed for hot street action as well as drag, road and rally racing. The twin plate clutches are rated for above 650hp and come with sprung hub damper discs making it the smoothest engaging twin in the market place.
The Corvette multi-plate clutches come with a lightweight, chrome moly steel flywheel and the famous purple anodized forged aluminum clutch cover. All have T5001 cerametallic friction materials for extreme heat resistance.
For owners with highly modified vettes, looking for a clutch that will handle the power and abuse at the track, yet still enjoy driving their cars on the street, look no further. The Exedy twin, which is currently being run in street and drag race applications, including the Three Hour Grand American Series, offers the high hp owners everything they need.
